ROLE: Managing Editor + Feature Writer

THE CHALLENGE: Extending the brand to new (old?!) platforms to reach their target audience.

THE APPROACH: Working on this very exciting project with The D4D and in collaboration with SimpsonScarborough, we designed and produced a full re-brand for Stony Brook University. I served as Executive Producer and Lead Copywriter across the full scope of print ads, videos, massive billboards, an annual report, swag, collateral, a comprehensive new style guide, and.... a totally new magazine.

It was an amazing experience working with such a super talented team to create this print publication — as was the opportunity to write one of our feature stories. And when I say print, I mean print... 50 glorious (and big!) pages that you can hold in your hands. Our reimagining of what a university magazine could be went on to win both a Silver and a Bronze at the CASE District II Awards this year (the Council for Advancement and Support of Education).

I'm so proud of what we accomplished with Issue 01, and I look forward to more projects like this one.
